It’s a free update for those of you who already bought version 1.0 of the texture pack, so if you haven’t downloaded the update yet, just click here to log in and choose View Downloads to get the update.
The latest update includes 252 new textures so the total has ended up at no fewer than 915!
180 of the 915 textures are in the new “Outline” style on the screenshot above. We’ve also included a bunch of new items in this update, e.g. a landmine, a flashbang, a syringe, a kitchen knife, a molotiv cocktail, many new multiplier and points textures and of course a nuclear bomb for good measure! 🙂
Today’s free 2D textures are once again from Zuhria Alfitra, an indie game developer from Yogyakarta in Indonesia.
His texture pack is full of tiling textures for platform or adventure games that take place in desert settings. The collection includes a seamlessly tiling background with sand dunes and a pyramid, a crate, an animal carcass, a signpost, plants, trees, a cacti and much more. There are 18 tiles, 14 objects & decorative items and 1 seamlessly tiling background in total.
Zuhria’s textures are available in a lot of formats, from ready-to-use PNG files to SVG files, so that you can edit the source vector files if you download Inkscape (a free vector-graphics editing application). It should be straightforward to use these textures in Unity, GameSalad, GameMaker, Cocos2D and other game engines.
The textures are licensed under Creative Common Zero which means that they are free to use in both personal and commercial projects.
